Peace of Mind for Care Givers, Fun and Friendship for Participants
At several of the Foundation's Adult Day Health Care Centers throughout Maricopa County, young adults, ages 18-45, who have a closed head injury or other disability, enjoy a club-like environment.
Daily activity and fellowship can enhance social and recreational skills. Opportunities are provided to improve a participant's cognitive skills, strengthen reasoning and decision-making, and increase each individual's capacity for community re-entry.
Field trips to the surrounding community create opportunities for stimulating and interesting recreation and learning. Shopping at Valley malls, bowling and miniature golf, museum visits, movies, plays, and the wonders of the Phoenix Zoo are typical of the adventures available to the program participants.
